I’m one of those people who finds it difficult to throw some items out – can you recycle it, can it be turned into something else, it’s too nice to throw out etc etc.
One of the things I collect is greeting cards – especially ones with beautiful images which are just crying out to be turned into another card to bring another person a little bit of pleasure into their day. Sitting in my craft room and cutting, pasting, sorting through odds and ends is a really relaxing way to spend the afternoon. The following pics are just some of the cards I’ve created and the people I give them to are always thrilled to receive something handmade, a little different, and a card where some extra thought and attention has been given.
All the cards shown are made by cutting out pics from old cards, stuck to blank card stock and then adding embellishments (ribbon, stickers etc.) to finish it off. I’ve recently started submitting articles to Craftfound.com and I’ve posted more detailed instructions on how to make these cards on craftfound.com .
