Fabric Yoyos

A wet Sunday made the perfect day to chill out in my craft room & find something to do with scraps of fabric & a box of bit & pieces to embellish them. Yoyos (also known as Suffolk puffs) are so quick & easy & can be used for all types of projects.

They can be embellished with old brooches, buttons, beads – or even smaller yoyos and then either used by themselves as a brooch, attached to a clip for a hairclip, sewn on to bags, dresses, cushions, or even sewn together to make a quilt.

I’ve done step by step instructions  with photos to show you how quick and easy these are to make, and how just a little embellishment in the middle can add a final touch to your end project.

For those of you who like video instructions, I also found a really clear & easy clip  on You Tube by www.knitting-and.com which shows how to make a basic yoyo. With these two references, I’m sure even the beginner will be able to have some fun & start yoyo’ing away. Please don’t hesitate to show me some of your creations.
