Easy Christmas Tree

The Christmas Tree –  usually the main focus of your household festive decorations and the ultimate spot for all those presents to sit unopened, just waiting for you all to gather Christmas morning to see what surprises are in store. I’ve had a store-bought tree for many years with the only thing changing being different decorations that have taken my eye in the shops or I’ve made myself.

Christmas Tree
My Christmas tree has had pride of place in my home for the past 20 years.

Home made decorations add that special unique something and don’t have to be overly ornate to have the effect you’re after.

This Christmas bell has been made with felt already imprinted with the silver dots. All it takes is to sew together 2 pieces with a little stuffing, add a bow and cotton to attach to the tree and you're done.

However, this year I wanted to add something a little different. As I’ve got a two storey house with the main living area upstairs, the ground level entrance area was crying out for some Christmas decoration attention. With a blue and silver theme in mind, I set out to create this alternative to the traditional tree. Using old twigs, a few baubles and some gorgeous little birds, I’ve created something a little more natural but (I think) still stylish.

A really cute alternative Christmas tree can be created using painted old twigs or branches and simple decorations plus lights.

I’ve created some simple instructions to make the silver tree here on Decor Notes. If you’ve created something similar, I’d love to see your pics.
